Additional information is available here and here.ĭxO PureRAW version 1.5 added support for 8 new cameras and 18 lenses ( see the full list of supported gear here): A free trial of DxO PureRaw is available here.Īdobe also released the new Photoshop+Premiere Elements 2022. Wish Pure Raw would work as a plugin in LR Classic, oh well.Today DxO released PureRaw version 1.5 with added support for the Pentax K-3 III camera. Topaz denoise as a stand alone program cannot open HE* file either (or rather it did but I just got a whole bunch of lines and not the picture) but as a plugin in PS, I can use it with no problem. I hope DXO will support HE* sometimes in the future.
I have Nik Collection 4 and was thinking of upgrade to version 5 with Pure Raw 2 bundle but Oh well, I tried HE* in LR Classic and open Pure Raw 2 as a plugin in LR but Pure Raw 2 cannot open the file still. Since I do individual images the need/want to bulk process is nil. One thing they told me specifically is the automatic corrections were not applied in the same manner. Looks like my email to them was on April 30th, so it's possible things have changed since then, but if anyone is at all worried about it I would send a quick email to DXO to confirm. With DxO PhotoLab 5 and DxO PureRAW 2, the deep learning design of the software’s algorithms and DxO DeepPRIME in particular has been significantly improved, reducing processing times for editing and exports. There was a couple of months difference between the updates. So it is more of a personal preferance, and if one uses Ps/Lr or suffice with the denoised image.ĪFAIK Deep Prime in PL5 is the same version as in Pure Raw. It also prepare the file to be used in Lr and Ps in a handover way rather than integration as in the pure raw 2 PL5 use the presets approach for denoising only while use the classic sliders for basic image adjustments. it integrates with Ps and Lr without having to leeve Lr or Ps. It also use the batch processing approach to speed up the processing. The DxO Pure raw2 use the presets approach to improve the image quality. So that offer is Pure Raw 2 + the NIK bundle. They work well for B&W, HDR, and general color/effect adjustments. The NIK collection is a bundle of useful photoshop plugins, you can find demos on how they work on DXO's website as well as YouTube. I now understand the differance between pure raw 2 and PL5.īut what is this offer in the snapshot below If either of those things are an issue for you, it might be worth a quick email to DXO support. That is true as of my last communication with DXO support, and it's also the reason why I only have Pure Raw 2 and not PL5. Note that PL5 does not have the newest Pure Raw engine found in the standalone Pure Raw 2, nor does PL5 have the ability to batch process RAWs in the same way as Pure Raw 2.
